Lunar Surf

Narrative:

Lunar Surf captures the drama of a moonlit ocean wave crashing against rocky cliffs, painted in the classic Bob Ross seascape tradition. This 18x24 oil on stretched canvas was created by Hope Blakely in 2022 in Townsend, Tennessee. Although the original wave was painted during a class led by Bram Bevins, Hope didn’t attend that day’s session. Instead, inspired (and a little jealous!) after visiting the class, she returned to her condo and painted her own version of the seascape. The taped border framing gives this piece a crisp, finished edge, adding to its bold ocean energy.
