Reverie of the Bengal is an original 12 × 12-inch oil painting on hardboard by Hope Blakely, completed in 2025 and presented in a 15 × 15-inch frame ready to hang.
Based on Hope’s own photograph taken at a Colorado wildlife sanctuary, the painting catches a Bengal tiger rolling onto its back in a peaceful moment of playfulness. Hope devoted more than three months to building translucent layers of oil glaze, creating depth and soft highlights in the tiger’s striped fur.
One-of-a-kind original framed wildlife painting, offered for $450.

Buying original art online can feel different from seeing it in person, and I’m happy to help with whatever would make you more comfortable. If you’d like additional photos, close-up details, a short video of the painting, information about shipping or local pickup, or even to arrange a time to see it in person, just send me an email. If there’s something specific standing between you and bringing this piece home, feel free to ask about that too.
You’re never bothering me by asking about a painting. I’d much rather answer your questions than have you keep scrolling because you weren’t quite sure. Start with an email, and from there we can continue by phone, text, video, or whatever is easiest.
