On Thursday, September 18th, from noon until 8 p.m., the doors of Hope’s Home Studio will be open for a special gallery-style event. This open house is a chance to explore original paintings in person, connect with fellow art lovers, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon or evening surrounded by creativity.
Why an Open House?
The Blakely Art Collection is always growing, and while photos online give a glimpse, there’s nothing like seeing a painting in person — the brushstrokes, textures, and presence of the artwork are completely different up close. This open house is about making art more accessible to the local community and creating an opportunity for neighbors, collectors, and first-time visitors to experience it directly.
What to Expect
A wide selection of paintings — Over 100 original works will be on view and available for purchase during the event.
Meet the artist — I, Hope Blakely, will be there throughout the day to share the stories and inspiration behind the collection. (And there’s a good chance one or two of the other featured artists may drop in to say hello as well!)
Refreshments — Light snacks and drinks will be served, so feel free to linger, look, and chat.
Easy purchasing — Paintings can be purchased on-site by cash, card, Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal.
Featured Paintings
While all works in the collection will be on display, here are a few visitor favorites that have drawn extra attention online:
The Lazy Watcher — A striking tiger portrait that has captured the imagination of animal lovers.
Golden Meadow by Marion Dutton — A luminous landscape with glowing fields of color.
The Enchanted Thaw — A dramatic winter scene, rich in detail and atmosphere.
These, along with many other works, will be available to view and purchase during the open house.
