With glowing clouds, a bright moon, and a crashing wave, Lunar Surf is a seascape full of motion and atmosphere. Painted by Hope Blakely in 2022 on an 18x24 stretched canvas, this oil painting was inspired by a Bram Bevins class held in Townsend, Tennessee. Though Hope wasn’t enrolled in that day’s session, she visited the workshop, admired the wave everyone was working on, and later painted her own version back at the condo. A true nod to the Bob Ross ocean tradition, this piece blends spontaneity, memory, and timeless style.
