After the Open House.....

Thank You for Joining Us

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out, followed along online, or shared a kind word about our very first Gallery Open House. Whether you were here in person or supporting from afar, your encouragement means so much. Hosting this event was a big step, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

Reflections from Our First Gallery Open House

Yesterday, we opened the doors of my home studio for our very first Gallery Open House. While the turnout wasn’t as big as we’d hoped, it was still an important step forward — and I want to share a little of what we learned along the way.

Lessons Learned 🎨

  • Hanging & layout – Having paintings spread throughout the house created a different feel in each room. Some walls worked beautifully, while others gave us ideas to improve for next time.

  • Food & refreshments – Simple, quick-to-grab items worked best. While everything tasted great, I discovered that finger foods kept the flow easy and allowed people to focus on the art.

  • Lighting & atmosphere – At first, I thought we might need more lighting, but it turned out to be a great teaching moment. Certain paintings really shined in dimmer spots, proving that bright art can lift a darker room, while deeper-toned paintings can calm bright spaces. It was a wonderful way to show how art interacts with a home’s natural light.

Moving Forward 🌟

This was just the beginning. Every event teaches us something new, and these lessons are shaping how the next open house will be even better. Yes — we will be doing it again before the end of the year, and I’d love to have you there. If you can not wait till the next date, please text me, we can make an appointment for you to come see the paintings.
