Painted on October 30, 2021, Island is one of only a handful of island-themed works Steve created between 2019 and 2022 (and possibly his only one during that period). In private conversations, Steve admitted he’s never been a big fan of painting islands, which makes this piece especially unique and meaningful.

🎨 Artist connection & collector note: Purchased directly during a workshop session, I asked Steve if he’d want a portion of any future sale. He kindly said, “absolutely not.” As always, if it sells, I’ll offer again and hope he accepts. That’s just how we roll—honoring his generosity and spirit.
