Desiree Brandt is the kind of artist who’ll paint a beautiful portrait with one hand while cradling a dog in her lap with the other — and still make you laugh in the process. A talented painter, passionate learner, and all-around joy to be around, Des has been part of countless painting journeys across Indiana, Tennessee, and even England, where she joined Hope and Marion Dutton for unforgettable creative adventures.
Though she had already taken several classes before joining Hope’s studio, Des quickly became a regular — both as a student and as an instructor. She now teaches classes when Hope is away, leading with a cheerful presence and a sharp artistic eye. Together they’ve studied portraits, explored color theory, and giggled through more workshops than either can count.
When she’s not painting, Des is putting her creativity to work as the chef (and unofficial manager) of a golf course — somehow balancing gourmet talent with studio spirit. She’s also famous for her uncanny ability to get exactly the answer you need out of Google… even if no one else can. Whether around a campfire in Winchester or in the studio with paint-splattered aprons, Des brings a spark of energy, friendship, and fun to every artistic space she enters.
